Physician Assistant Jack Barnard Joins Franklin Orthopaedic Team

Physician assistant A. Jack Barnard, PA-C, has joined the medical staff of Franklin Health Orthopaedics, Three Rivers Orthopaedics, and Franklin Memorial Hospital, according to Gerald Cayer, Franklin Community Health network executive vice president. Barnard assumed his new position on September 29.
Barnard has been a physician assistant for seven years, providing family medicine, emergency medicine, colorectal care, and orthopaedic care among others. He received his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of New England in Biddeford and his bachelor’s degree in biology from Southeast Oklahoma State University. Before that he was in the U.S. Coast Guard for nine years.
“This is a unique collaborative arrangement in which Jack Barnard will be in the medical practices caring for patients at Franklin Health Orthopaedics and at Three Rivers Orthopaedics and also assisting Dr. Nancy Cummings and Dr. Joseph Caldwell,” said Cayer. “We are pleased to have recruited a physician assistant with the orthopaedic experience and skills that he has.”
Barnard resides in Skowhegan with his wife Tiffany. During his free time he enjoys weight lifting, running, and numerous other physical activities.
Franklin Health Orthopaedics is located on the second floor of the Franklin Health Medical Arts Center, while Three Rivers Orthopaedics is located at 167 Livermore Falls Road, both in Farmington.
