Nurse Midwife Joins Franklin Health Womenâ€™s Care
Brings 15 years of clinical experience in full scope midwifery

Susan Jacoby, CNM, DNP, a certified nurse midwife and doctor of nursing practice, has joined the staff of Franklin Health Women’s Care. Other providers in the practice include Connie Adler, MD; Tara Aumand, MD: Jacques Belair, MD; Daisy Goodman, CNM, WHNP; Susan Kearing, DO; Jay Naliboff, MD; Rebecca Sylvester, FNP; Susan Tinguely, FNP; and Thomas Weigle, MD.
“We are very pleased to welcome Susan Jacoby to Franklin Health Women’s Care and to have her 15 years of clinical experience in full scope midwifery for our patients,” said Mavis Dubord, Franklin Health director of Clinical & Administrative Services.
Jacoby received her doctor of nursing practice in 2010 from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in Boston. She received her master’s degree in nurse midwifery and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. Most recently, Jacoby provided midwifery care to women at Central Maine Medical Center where she attended on average 150 births per year, and was a member of the Residency Education Committee and Perinatal Committee.
Jacoby has vast experience providing education on women’s health to residents, nurses, and medical staff, as well as the general public. In 2010, she was featured on a live television broadcast discussing centering pregnancy and the midwifery model of care.
Jacoby resides in Industry with her husband Larry and horse Resin
Franklin Health Women’s Care offers a full range of women’s health services at its offices on the first floor of the Franklin Health Medical Arts Center, next to Franklin Memorial Hospital. Obstetrical services are also provided at Franklin Memorial Hospital Outpatient Services in Livermore Falls located in the Central Plaza at 76 Main Street.
