Dr. Susan Kearing to discuss female urinary incontinence

The next topic for “Prescriptions for Health” is female urinary incontinence featuring Dr. Susan Kearing. Prescriptions for Health is a health education series that features local physicians who present on a variety of health and wellness topics. The series is open to the public and free of charge.
Registrations are now being taken for this presentation that will take place on Monday, March 14, from 6–7:15 p.m., in the Chisholm Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital. Dr. Kearing, who is affiliated with Franklin Health Women’s Care, will discuss causes and treatments of female urinary incontinence.
“Urinary incontinence is a common and distressing problem for women of all ages. Most causes of incontinence are treatable with lifestyle changes, exercise, medication, or surgery. The key to proper treatment is proper diagnosis of the type of incontinence,” said Dr. Kearing. “My talk will cover the common forms of female urinary incontinence, assessments for this condition, and the various treatment options available.”
