Franklin Community Health Network President Rebecca Ryder is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer McCormack, RN, BSN, MBA, as the director of Healthy Community Coalition (HCC) of Greater Franklin County after serving as interim director since June.

McCormack is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the non-profit agency’s operations including program planning, grant development, personnel management, financial stewardship, policy advocacy, and community collaboration and partnerships.

McCormack has worked at Franklin Community Health Network for 15 years. She began at Franklin Memorial Hospital as the patient support coordinator before transitioning to the role of breast and cancer prevention coordinator for the HCC in 2002. In 2010, McCormack began overseeing all clinical outreach services at HCC as the community health clinical administrator.

McCormack received her master’s degree in business administration from Thomas College and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Boston College. She is a licensed registered nurse.

In 2010, McCormack who is a resident of Carrabassett Valley was one of three recipients to receive the Maine Breast Health Leadership Award. She was recognized for her leadership in advocating for the breast care needs of Maine women—designing and implementing outreach activities to reach women in need of services, and using the HCC’s mobile health unit to provide free health services including breast and cervical screenings.

“We appreciate Jennifer’s enthusiasm and passion for improving health services among rural Maine people and look forward to the leadership she will bring to HCC,” said Ryder. “Her leadership will bring continued growth and success to the organization as she brings with her exceptional skills and experience.”
