Maine Healthcare Information Technology Symposium

The Maine Healthcare Information Technology Symposium is slated to take place on Friday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ben Franklin Center at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. The conference is targeted toward professionals working in health care information technology in Maine.
A sampling of topics to be covered include:
- The Impact of the Economic Stimulus Package for Maine's Health Care IT Community by Pat Morin, principal, Baker, Newman and Noyes;
- HealthInfoNet Update on the Pilot Project by Dev Culver, executive director, HealthInfoNet; and
- Show me the HIT Grant Money by Cathy Bruno, VP and CIO and Jean Mellett, director of Planning, Eastern Maine Health System.
Registration is limited to 100 participants. The registration fee is $10 and includes lunch. Interested participants can register online at
Franklin Community Health Network (FCHN) and HealthInfoNet are sponsoring the conference. FCHN is a locally controlled, nonprofit, integrated network of rural health care providers located in Greater Franklin County and including Franklin Memorial Hospital; HealthInfoNet is Maine's statewide system for doctors and other health care providers to share information and improve health care.
