April 18, 2011
On Tuesday, May 10, Healthy Community Coalition will host a free two hour GPS training as part of the Mapping Our Footsteps grant initiative from the Environmental Funders Network.
The training will take place from 4–6 p.m. on the Tree of Life Trails on the Franklin Memorial Hospital campus. Participants should meet in the Bass Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
Members of the Maine Forest Service will provide the GPS training. There will also be information available about Geocashing and how to get started.
"This is an excellent project for community groups and families. It gets you outside, walking, hiking, and enjoying all the beauty of western Maine. And it’s free,” said Program Coordinator Lorri Brown.
