FMH to Host Blood Drive on July 2
June 25, 2014
It’s an everyday challenge to collect enough blood to meet the needs of hospital patients, and it’s even more difficult during the summer months. The American Red Cross wants to help ensure there will be a safe and adequate blood supply in Maine this summer, and is asking for your help. The July 4th week is one of the worst weeks to collect blood and one of the largest usage weeks of the year.
Volunteer blood donors in Farmington can donate on Wednesday, July 2 from 9 a.m.−6 p.m. when the Red Cross comes to Franklin Memorial Hospital. Anyone 17 years of age or older, weighing 110 pounds or more and feeling in good health may be eligible to donate blood.
All presenting donors will receive a limited edition Red Cross t-shirt.
For appointments, call the Red Cross at 1-800-RED-CROSS.
