FMH Offering Medical Terminology Course
February 9, 2009Franklin Memorial Hospital is now enrolling students for a medical terminology course being offered this spring. The course starts March 4 and meets every Wednesday morning through June 10, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Crosby Room. The instructor for the course will be Anne Piroso, MS.Ed.
At the conclusion of the course, students will be able to identify terms of the human body, as well as diagnostic tests, diagnoses, and surgical procedures utilized by each medical specialty. The course is designed to bring together the entire spectrum of information used by allied health professionals who need to understand and use medical terminology.
Class size is limited, so register before February 27. The fee for the course and required textbook is $380 for those not employed by Franklin Community Health Network. Employees are responsible for the cost of the textbook only, which is $37.50.
