FMH Introduces Online Payment Option
November 20, 2007
Franklin Memorial Hospital (FMH) and its nine member practices have made it more convenient than ever for patients to pay their bills, with the introduction of an online payment option. The new, secure service can be accessed from Franklin Community Health Network's home page
by clicking on "Pay Your Bill Online."
"We realize patients can't always get to our business office to pay on their accounts," said Natasha Erb, FMH Director of Patient Accounts. "This gives our patients yet another suitable option in addition to mailing payments or processing checking account or credit card transactions over the telephone."
Patients will have 24/7 access to pay their bills, all secured online for convenience beginning December 1. The new payment experience will be simple, convenient, reliable, and secure.
"Patient accounts has been looking for a way to extend its customer service, and online account management is a secure and convenient option," added Erb. "The online payment option will give patients a choice of paying by debit or credit card."
According to Ralph Johnson, FMH Chief Information Officer, 42% of Maine hospitals now offer patients the ability to pay their bills online and Franklin Memorial is proud to be among the early adopters of this proven technology.
