Flu Shot Clinics Announced

Taking place December 8 and 11

November 30, 2012

Public flu shots from Healthy Community Coalition (HCC) of Greater Franklin County staff will be administered at the following locations:

  • Saturday, December 8, noon–2 p.m. in the Franklin Memorial Hospital Bass Room
  • Tuesday, December 11, 5–7 p.m. in the Franklin Memorial Hospital Bass Room

Due to the cost of the vaccine, there is a suggested donation of $20 (or by donating what you can afford). Insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid cannot be accepted. The HCC purchases all vaccine used and appreciates donations to help cover costs.

Flu shots will be provided to individuals 18 and older. Those who are under the age of 18 are recommended to contact their primary care medical provider.

Franklin Community Health Network is also reminding residents to call its flu hotline for updates about flu prevention, local flu vaccine availability, and public flu shot clinics. The hotline number is 207-779-3147.

For more information, contact the Healthy Community Coalition at 779-2214.
