Gerald Cayer, Franklin Community Health Network executive vice president, is pleased to announce that Dr. Gerald Tinguely has earned the designation of Physician Certified in Wound Care-CMET from the Council for Medical Education and Testing (CMET).
To earn the designation, Dr. Tinguely successfully passed the CMET exam taken April 3 in Philadelphia. The CMET exam is the only certification process for the physician wound care specialist offered by a physician-specific organization in the United States. This certification is endorsed by the American Professional Wound Care Association and recognized by the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine.
“Dr. Tinguely is to be commended for completing this certification process,” said Cayer. “The CMET exam is the public seal of an academic accomplishment and the foundation for specialty recognition.”
Dr. Tinguely provides wound care in the Franklin Memorial Hospital Outpatient Department on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dr. Tinguely has been on the medical staff of Franklin Memorial Hospital since 1984.
