Franklin Health Farmington Family Practice is pleased to announce that Kendra Emery, DO, will join its medical practice on April 16. Dr. Emery grew up in the area and after completing a residency in Colorado had a desire to return to her roots and practice family medicine in Maine.
Dr. Emery received her medical degree from the University of New England College (UNE) of Osteopathic Medicine then trained as a predoctoral teaching fellow in anatomy and osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) also at UNE. Dr. Emery then completed her residency in family medicine at St. Anthony North Family Medicine in Westminster, Colorado.
Dr. Emery practices OMM, a component of Osteopathic Medicine that can be used alone or in combination with medication, patient education, diet and exercise interventions, and other medical treatments. “OMM is a wonderful modality for treating musculoskeletal problems, but may also be used as an adjunct therapy for other disorders such as migraines and pneumonia,” said Dr. Emery.
Farmington Family Practice offers a full range of family medicine services from routine physicals such as well-baby checks, sports physicals, and adult physicals, to managing complex chronic medical conditions. Other providers in the practice include J. Bertrand Audette, DO; Armand Auger, MD; Marvin Lee, MD; Kristine Sandon, DO; David Huish, PA-C; and Calli Meader, PA-C.
Providers at the medical practice provide hospital care for their patients at Franklin Memorial Hospital, where patients may access a full range of diagnostic services and subspecialties. All insurances and health plans are accepted.
Dr. Emery resides in Wilton with her husband Nick Citriglia. During her free time she enjoys all that Maine has to offer including mountain biking, trail marathons, triathlons, and telemark and cross country skiing.
