Breast Center to Host Open House
October 8, 2008In celebration of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center will host an open house on Thursday, October 30, from 3-5 p.m. at its offices in the Franklin Health Medical Arts Center, located next to Franklin Memorial Hospital.
Anyone with an interest in seeing the center, meeting staff, or finding out more about services provided is invited to attend. Light refreshments will be available and gifts to all who attend including Avon cosmetics and necklaces.
The Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center offers timely access to state-of-the-art screening, diagnostic, clinical, and support services by a multi-disciplinary team of specialists. The center offers digital mammography, breast ultrasound, stereotactic needle biopsy, surgical services, physical therapy (including lymphedema treatment), post-operative care support, wig and prosthesis referrals, and a breast cancer support group.
Key to the center’s mission since its inception is the breast care support nurse who coordinates prompt follow-up of abnormal mammograms. She personally guides patients through the screening, diagnosis, and if necessary, the treatment process.
All services provided at the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center in Farmington are also offered at Franklin Memorial Hospital Outpatient Services in Livermore Falls, including the same state-of-the-art digital mammography equipment. The facility is located at 76 Main Street in the Central Plaza.
