Become an FCHN Corporator and Attend Annual Meeting
Deadline to sign up is September 1
July 20, 2010
Franklin Community Health Network (FCHN) invites interested members of the community to become an FCHN corporator and share in its governance. Franklin Community Health Network is a locally controlled not-for-profit network of rural health care providers that integrates medicine, health education, and community involvement in Greater Franklin County. FCHN includes Franklin Memorial Hospital, Evergreen Behavioral Services, Franklin Health, NorthStar, and the Healthy Community Coalition.
As an FCHN corporator, one’s main obligation is to attend the annual meeting on Monday, September 27, from 6-8 p.m. in the Bass Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital. There, corporators vote on bylaw changes and receive an annual report. The annual Community Health Leadership Award will also be presented to a deserving member of the community.
Rebecca Ryder, president of Franklin Community Health Network, will give a presentation, as will Joseph Bujold, board chair, and Dr. Peter Cordner, president of the Franklin Memorial Hospital medical staff, regarding the network’s progress, difficulties being faced, and plans and goals for the next year.
“Health care reform brings with it many challenges and many opportunities,” said Ryder. “We will discuss these issues and celebrate our many accomplishments and the work we do each day.”
To be eligible to be a corporator, one must be registered to vote or pay taxes in one of the towns in the FCHN service area. There is no fee.
Interested persons should contact Mandy Luce, assistant to the president, at 779-2265 before September 1, or register on-line at http://www.fchn.org/about/corporator/signup.
