Pine Tree Pediatrics is pleased to announce that Lorien Batt, MD, will join its practice in August. Their offices are currently located in the Mt. Blue Health Center next to Franklin Memorial Hospital. Other providers include Kathleen Hickey, MD; John Hickey, MD; and Richard Rosol, MD.

Dr. Batt has been practicing pediatrics for over four years. Most recently she provided pediatric care at Centracare Clinic in St. Cloud, Minnesota. "We are very excited to have a pediatrician with Dr. Batt's experience coming to join us, particularly as we move into our new office in the
medical arts building, and to be part of our superb team of physicians providing care for children in the office and hospital," said Leslie Hawkins, Pine Tree Medical Associates Administrator.

Dr. Batt is a board-certified pediatrician who received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, before completing her residency at the University of Minnesota pediatric residency program. Her professional interests include neonatal intensive care and wilderness medicine.

Pine Tree Pediatrics offers a full range of medical care for newborns through teens. Services such as well-child care and immunizations, sports physicals, adolescent gynecological care, asthma care, along with acute and chronic illness care are provided. Most lab services are provided on-site.

Pine Tree pediatricians provide patient education, call coverage 24 hours-a-day, and hospital care for their patients at Franklin Memorial Hospital's pediatric unit, where patients may access a full range of diagnostic services and subspecialties. All insurances and health plans are
accepted.

Dr. Batt will reside in the Farmington area with her husband Ross Cram and their three dogs. During her free time she enjoys multiple outdoor activities including horseback riding, cross country skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, and ultimate Frisbee.

For more information or to make an appointment with Dr. Batt, call Pine Tree Pediatrics at 778-0482 or visit their offices located in the Mt. Blue Health Center or in the Franklin Health Medical Arts Building after July 1.
