FMH to Host MS Support Group
May 6, 2008
The next meeting of the newly formed Farmington area Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Support Group will be Monday, June 2, from 3-5 p.m. in the Ben Franklin Center at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
According to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, MS is a disease of the central nervous system; most people living with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with more than twice as many women as men being diagnosed with the disease. Most people with MS learn to cope with the disease and continue to lead satisfying, productive lives.
Anyone who has MS or supports an individual who has MS is welcome to attend to discuss resources, challenges, self-help tips, and to receive support from one another.
The support group will regularly convene on the first Monday of each month from 3-5 p.m. at Franklin Memorial Hospital (FMH). No appointment or registration is required.
