FMH Offering Medical Terminology Course

February 22, 2008

Franklin Memorial Hospital is now enrolling students for a medical terminology course being offered this spring. The course starts March 4 and meets every Tuesday through June 3. The course is being offered at two convenient times: mornings from 10 a.m.-12 noon, and evenings from 5-7 p.m. The instructor for the course will be Anne Piroso, MS.Ed.

At the conclusion of the course, students will be able to identify terms of the human body, as well as diagnostic tests, diagnoses, and surgical procedures utilized by each medical specialty. The course is designed to bring together the entire spectrum of information used by allied health professionals who need to understand and use medical terminology.

Class size is limited, so early registration is encouraged. The fee for the course and required textbook is $380.

For more information or to enroll in the course, call Amanda Brown in the Education Department at 779-2381.
