Approximately 50 community members attended the October 24 annual meeting of Franklin Community Health Network (FCHN), receiving a printed annual report, along with updates regarding new medical staff, redesigned programs and challenges. Presenters included L. Clinton Boothby, board chair; Dr. Jay Naliboff, vice president medical affairs; and Mavis Dubord, vice president of quality and physician practices.

Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County announced today that one school, 11 school cafeterias, six out-of-school programs, eight child care programs, and four health care practices in Franklin County are being recognized for building environments in which unhealthy food choices are limited and opportunities for physical activity are plentiful.

The Calico Patch in Farmington partners with the Friends of Mel Foundation by offering their colorful bead bracelets to customers to signify support for those with or recovering from breast cancer. For every bracelet sold, the Foundation donates $5 to the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center. Dr. Jay Naliboff, Franklin Memorial Hospital’s vice president medical affairs, is pleased to announce that Richard Batstone, MD, has rejoined the medical staff of Franklin Health Urology effective October 1. Dr. Batstone is a urologist and surgeon who has been in private practice since in Farmington since 2011.
