Natasha Foster appointed FMH staff nurse and childbirth educator

Natasha Foster, RN, BSN, CBE, has been appointed staff nurse on the Maternal/Child Health Unit at Franklin Memorial Hospital (FMH) and will additionally teach the organization’s childbirth education classes for expectant parents.

2-year Sugarloaf Season Pass being Raffled at Charity Summit

One highlight of Sugarloaf’s Charity Summit in January is the drawing of an adult 2-year alpine and nordic season pass at Sugarloaf, valid for the 2017/18 and 2018/19 ski seasons, transferable and with no blackout dates. All proceeds from Charity Summit events benefit Franklin Memorial Hospital’s Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center and the Maine Cancer Foundation.


Senator King Visits Franklin Memorial Hospital

Sen. King squeezed in an informal luncheon meeting at Franklin Memorial Hospital (FMH) between two high school visits on Dec. 19 to get updates on the challenges of delivering high quality health care in a rural setting. King and members of the FMH leadership team discussed numerous topics including the opioid crisis, hospital finances and payor mix, and how a repeal of the affordable care act would potentially affect the hospital. 


Healthy Community Coalition Hosting Community Forums on the Addiction Crisis in Greater Franklin County

Healthy Community Coalition, working with the Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Greater Franklin County is hosting special community forums on Monday, January 9, about heroin and opiate use, and the addiction crisis in Greater Franklin County.
