Dr. Ryan received his medical degree in 2006 from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts.

Dr. Ryan is a native of Rumford, Maine who received his bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Maine at Farmington. He also completed post-graduate work in biochemistry at the University of Maine before attending medical school.
