Dr. Thayer’s office provides full range of outpatient family medicine services for adults and children over 3 including: preventive care, physicals, illness and injury, chronic disease, pre- and post-hospital care, family planning, minor skin procedures (laceration repair, biopsies).
Dr. Thayer and staff provide individualized attentive care—helping patients meet their health care goals and coordinating their care with other professionals. Dr. Thayer's Web site gives patients access to test results, treatment plans, appointments, and more.
Schooling
Dr. Thayer attended Cornell University, earned her medical degree at SUNY at Stony Brook, and received her specialty training at the Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency. She is board-certified in Family Medicine.
Professional Interest
Dr. Thayer is interested in all aspects of outpatient primary care. She is especially interested in patient-focused care, the concepts of patient-centered medical homes and the thoughtful use of technology to enhance the patient and care giver experience.
Dr. Thayer practiced in Livermore Falls from 1988 through 2008, and then worked as the Primary Care Medical Director for MaineGeneral Medical Center before returning to local practice in 2012.
Personal Interest
Dr. Thayer enjoys vegetarian cooking, gardening, swimming, snow-shoeing, digital and other crafts, travel and living off the grid in her solar-powered home.
