Schooling
Dr. Burkey graduated from Hiram College, Bowling Green State University and Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. Dr. Burkey trained in internal medicine and cardiology at Maine Medical Center. He was a fellow in cardiovascular disease at Maine Medical Center and a fellow in interventional cardiology at Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Burkey has received the Physicians Award of Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and the Lilly Cardiac Care Cardiology Fellows Award. Dr. Burkey subspecializes in cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology.
