The Mobile Health Unit Outreach is just one of the ways that Healthy Community Coalition addresses the public health needs of Greater Franklin County residents. Our 34' Mobile Health Unit HCC is equipped with greater space for working with clients, new technologies like digital media for educational opportunities, and able to offer screenings to individuals with physical or mobility issues by way of the wheelchair lift entrance. Onboard the Mobile Health Unit HCC offers health screenings and services such as:
- ScoreHealth (A Health Risk Assessment Program)
- Blood Pressure Screenings
- Cholesterol Screenings
- Flu Shots
- Osteoporosis (Bone Density) Screenings
- Breast Exams
- Pap Smears
- Schedule Mammograms
- Tobacco Dependence and Treatment Counseling
- Physical Activity and Nutrition Counseling
Healthy Community Coalition works closely with many area agencies to assist the public in obtaining resources that might benefit them or their family members. Western Maine Transportation, NorthStar Ambulance, Western Maine Community Action, and the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center are a few of our partnering agencies. During a visit to the Mobile Health Unit you can receive information about these and other agencies that provide support services to members of our community.
