Nutrition
Leader: Renee Blanchet, Franklin County Children’s Task Force
This Task Force is focusing on improving children's access and exposure to healthy foods by partnering with local businessess, PTAs, 4-H, Coop Extension and other groups. Focus is on creativity (such creating pizza gardens) and the introduction of new foods so when children are ultimately introduced to these foods through the school nutrition program, these foods will be welcomed.
Economic Stability
Leaders: Doug Dunlap, Gary Perlson, Ray Therrien, FCCCN members
The Economic Stability Task Force is strengthening the Franklin County Community College Network. With an emphasis on education and outreach, this Task Force is focusing on letting those entering the workforce for the first time or re-entering a new career, know what financial resources and support services are currently available to help them in Greater Franklin County and across the state. (A no wrong door philosophy.)
Access to Health Care
1. Leader: Doreen DesRosches, Community Concepts
This Task Force is developing a better means of educating the target population regarding basic health care and the scope of services available in Greater Franklin County.
2. Leader: Richard Batt, President and CEO, Franklin Community Health Network
This Task Force is developing and implementing plans to identify, then reduce or eliminate “capacity/availability gaps” in the medical specialties and/or segments of care in Greater Franklin County including, but not limited to pediatric dental care, allergy/asthma treatment, cardiology, mental health, dermatology, and mobile health care in hard to each areas of Greater Franklin County.
Physical Activity
Leader: Sandy Richard, HCC Program Manager (interim)
The Physcial Activity Task Force is looking at ways to engage the community in life-long physical activity, by creating fun and accessible opportunities and raising awareness of opportunities that already exist in our communities.
Breast Advisory Team (Breast Health Resources)
Leader: Jennifer McCormack Monthly meetings focus on breast care outreach and treatment issues. This group seeks to decrease the breast cancer mortality rate in Franklin County through increased mamography rates and early detection, improved patient satisfaction and a decreased time from screening to intervention.

Peace in Our Families: A community-wide effort involving representatives from multiple organizations in Franklin County to end domestic violence. Peace in Our Families goals are to:
- Reduce the incidence and severity of domestic violence, sexual assault and other forms of interpersonal violence. (Interpersonal violence includes verbal, physical, emotional, sexual or animal abuse.)
- To change cultural beliefs and behaviors about violence in all its forms and its impact on the individuals in the community.
- Mobilize all current and potential resources promoting healthy relationships.
