Oncology/Hematology

Oncology services provide maximum convenience and privacy for the growing number of patients diagnosed with cancer and blood disorders. Located on the first floor, oncology has three examining rooms and a large open area for the administration of medications and other services.

Franklin Memorial Hospital has a partnership with MaineGeneral’s Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care and medical oncologists and hematologists Dr. Robin Locke, Dr. Ambreen Ijaz, and physician assistant Sarah Dooley.staff the oncology department providing cancer care at Franklin Memorial Hospital each week. This service greatly benefits patients and their families who before had to travel long distances for the same care and treatment they can receive right here.

We offer chemotherapy and intravenous fluids administration, blood product transfusion, and antibiotic therapy—all administered by chemotherapy-certified and oncology-certified registered nurses.

Access to clinical cancer research trials is possible through the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
