Intensive Care (ICU)
Located on the on the 3rd floor of the hospital is the Intensive Care Unit, which provides greater than ordinary medical care and observation to people in a critical or unstable condition whose condition is potentially reversible (heart attack, respiratory failure, surgical complications). Acutely ill patients requiring constant observation and intensive nursing care are admitted to the unit, which is equipped with the most advanced life support devices. Nurses who are specially trained to cope with serious medical situations staff the unit.
