Joint Orthopaedic Service
Unique opportunity for a Physician Assistant with Orthopaedic experience. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive & problem focused history & physical exams; interpreting & correlating laboratory & diagnostic procedures; formulating a treatment plan for orthopaedic problems within scope of practice; & implementing therapeutic intervention for specific conditions when appropriate. Will also perform procedures, assist in surgery, pre & post Op, & make inpatient hospital rounds & otherwise assist both the Franklin Health Orthpaedic surgeon and the local private practice Orthopaedic surgeon. Will split first call with the current Physician Assistant. Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program & certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Registration with the Board of Registration in Medicine & with the Drug Enforcement Administration required. Prior clinical experience & knowledge of a wide spectrum of primary care preferred.
