Description:
Farmington Family Practice, an affiliate of Franklin Memorial Hospital, is a six-provider family medicine practice offering both office and inpatient care. Patients represent the full range of family practice with the exception of obstetrics. Farmington Family Practice is located close to downtown Farmington and about 3 miles from the hospital campus. A group administrator, office manager, modern office set-up, support staff and centralized billing system are provided. The physicians are on staff at Franklin Memorial Hospital, a 70-bed facility in Farmington, Maine. The area’s progressive 51-member medical staff affords excellent colleague interaction and referral relationships.
Over 7500 patients are registered with Farmington Family Practice with approximately 18 office visits per day, per provider, depending on complexity and not including hospital visits. Call is 1 in 5 and the Hospitalist service provides coverage for admissions during office hours and most evenings.
Farmington, Maine is a rural community, 2 hours north of Portland and home to the University of Maine at Farmington, one of the best liberal arts colleges in the nation. The area is within an hour's drive to three ski resorts and offers four seasons of outdoor recreation with many lakes, rivers and streams as well as hills and mountains.
