Outpatient Services
Evergreen Behavioral Services offers a full continuum of care in the areas of mental health and substance abuse services. We have a full-time staff psychiatrist who is qualified in both adult and child psychiatry, and a staff of fully licensed counselors, including a number who are certified to treat persons dually diagnosed with both mental health and substance abuse problems.
We are especially committed to providing an array of treatment alternatives that are "outside the walls" of the hospital, in locations convenient to our patients. We offer:
- Clinical assessment and evaluation services
- General and specialized outpatient psychiatric services
- Children's outpatient treatment and psychiatric evaluation
- Substance abuse treatment, including DEEP certification
- Employee assistance programs for the business community
- Crisis intervention and emergency mental health services
- Treatment for eating disorders
- Day and evening appointments
- Educational workshops
- Individual and group counseling
- Support groups
The core of our program is outpatient counseling. This service allows patients to meet with a qualified counseling professional to discuss emotional or psychological problems, as well as to confront such difficulties as family relationships, depression, alcohol and drug abuse, or eating disorders.
Oftentimes a person may not seek treatment because work schedules or family commitments don't allow the time. We make time for you by providing treatment programs with flexible hours and schedules that work around your lifestyle needs.
For emergencies and acute problems, a person might be referred to the 24-hour-a-day crisis intervention unit located in the emergency department at Franklin Memorial Hospital. Here, immediate assessment and evaluation are done and steps are taken to help the person through the crisis situation. The counseling staff works with the individuals and their families to plan for additional services that may be needed.

Through a network of outpatient care centers, we offer services where they best belong--in your community. They are accessible, comprehensive, and designed to meet a broad spectrum of needs. We offer services at the following locations:
